"Breathe" is a double entendre about experimenting with your own sexuality and dealing with crippling anxiety. Written by Timms ("Serotonin Killer," "Tamagotchi") and Dante, himself, one can either interpret that Dante could be telling the listener to "breathe" on top of him while they dance or that Dante could also be pleading to himself to “breathe” and keep calm as a panic attack starts to arise.
"Breathe" is what Dante calls his “most ambiguous” track. The song, driven by a booming bassline, clanky percussion, and siren-like synths, uses sensual lyricism and R&B influence -- akin to the likes of Timbaland/Missy Elliot and Vince Staples -- that makes the track sound crisp and vibrant. This marks the second release from Dante within weeks, following up from his debut single “Rebellion” – and he won't be slowing down anytime soon. Geez, hopefully Dante remembers to.....
